A HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE? THE WAVE FUNCTION IS REAL: THE HOLOGRAPHIC QUANTUM MODEL, August, 2003 By Noel Huntley, Ph.D.

This question is being given increasing attention within mainstream scientific investigations. Here we shall focus on one particular aspect that the author has researched for most of a lifetime, but the reader is advised that many investigators have presented a wide variety of evidence for the tenability of a holographic universe.

Following the author's approach we have a double task. Firstly, let us show by taking a small part of our universe that it (the small part) in itself is holographic. Then we must show that this small part reflects the same characteristics as other parts of the universe, ranging up to the whole. For the layman, this is what holographic means: the whole is reflected in any part or subpart.

We shall firstly show that the learning pattern structure, the basis of skills and physical coordination, is holographic. A physical skill is a series of movements that are coordinated (connected) in space (two or more movements which are simultaneous) and also in time (in sequence but there must be connections in time).

When a sequence of movements is learned, the sub-elements---the muscles/muscle fibres, the tiny parts of the movements, the 'bits' as in a computer, that is, the information---are all cross-referenced. All these trillions of tiny parts must be linked under a single heading, precisely as a president of a company integrates everyone in the company: the executives, the managers, the ground-floor workers. The learning pattern builds up in the same manner from 'ground-floor' to 'managers' to 'executives' to 'president' except that in the learning pattern there are millions of levels (ranks) in the form of this described company hierarchy.

Figure 1 illustrates the similarity to the company organisation. This figure emphasises the spatial connections in the now, whereas Figure 2 shows the temporal relationships. Let us take an example of a golfer. He or she addresses the ball with the club face; then proceeds to swing back and forwards fairly quickly, subsequently striking the ball. All these body positions and movements must be cross-referenced, that is, coordinated under a single 'president' or input control point within the mind. Note that the amateur will not form a single pattern of the swing, and these patterns will have weak links, sometimes causing a jump from one established pattern to another parallel one ('losing the swing'). But for the expert, a single learning pattern will be formed for the complete sequence: from addressing the ball, swinging, to hitting the ball.

The mind senses only one creative thought---the intention of hitting the ball well. The learning-pattern structure's computer-features have taken the input energy of the intention at the 'president' level and distributed it automatically by means of the executives, managers, and ground-floor workers. Whereas the novice has to keep 'filling' in the gaps (managers, executives missing) using conscious creative thought, that is, the application of the intention. This is also why the swing is quite fast in the backswing and not generally pausing before the forward swing---otherwise the limit to how much time activity can be spanned will be reached resulting in the learning pattern, in effect, 'breaking' into two or more learning patterns in series. When the full integration has been developed the learning pattern's configuration is holistic. It must be---the parts of the movements must be linked automatically to execute a pattern of movements performed accurately and at speed. In fact a well-developed learning pattern must set like concrete.

It is necessary here to limit our information of the learning pattern to what is relevant to providing evidence of a holographic universe. The reader may see that the pyramid configuration, the learning pattern or the company organisation, gives a framework which has the potential for holographic application.

Let us now look at the experiential side of the argument. Anyone knows that when we execute skilled movements there is control, yet there is automaticity---the movements must become automatic. But this is a contradiction. It can in fact only be resolved by means of the holographic mechanism. How does a person control every detail of a complex (learned) sequence of movements, such as at a keyboard, but at the same time they can relax the focus of attention, shift it about, think of other things or be highly conscious of all movements. This is extremely significant and demands an explanation. Unfortunately one is so unaware of what's happening here, the mind, including the scientific mind, skips it as not important.

The mind ideates movements and the learning pattern provides the mechanism for the execution of physical movements. The ideation is the input to the learning patterns. By trained observation one will notice that the ideation is synonymous with input and is expressed as the attention. This attention can have countless distributions during a learning sequence. In two whole arm motions as in keyboard performance the attention distribution may shift from one finger, to the wrists, one whole arm, two whole arms (as a unit), both hands, or part of one's finger motion. Any of these states can be focussed on at will, and countless more, without interfering with the flow of the sequence. In fact any of these states, the ideations just stated, act as an input for the learning patterns. How can this be?

In holistic systems (see article on holistic systems), all parts are in resonance or coherence, which quantum regenerates the whole. This means a holistic system can be activated or maintained in operation by resonating with any part of its energies; from the smallest part (bit) to the whole. This is inherently holographic since any 'size' ideation (span/state of attention) can activate or continue the activation of the learning patterns. That is, when executing a learned sequence, attention, say, on one finger will keep the whole going. Realise that current science is completely unfamiliar with an understanding of a harmonic science of which holistic systems play a major role.

To break this down, consider a screen with dots on it. Let these dots be the 'bits' (as in computers) of the learning patterns. The bits are in effect basic storage elements and will store one pulse of energy/information---which can be replenished continually. Now imagine these dots distributed into various patterns or groupings spatially (we are not considering time yet), and let these patterns send a corresponding distribution of pulses to provide physical movements of the body. One pattern for instance might activate several fingers and a wrist, etc. Note that for a learned sequence though there is no isolated pattern. All the dots are basically cross-referenced; let's say for the sake of simplicity all are linked behind the screen for a learned condition.

Now if every dot is interconnected. When we activate dots they activate the whole (behind the screen). This is a slightly weak model for showing the holographic effect but it has the advantage of potentially illustrating the connections in time as we shall see. This whole screen pattern is a spatially frozen one in time---one frame of many frames in a 'footage' for the sequence of movements. It is a quantum state. All tensions in the body whether hands and arms or neck or eyebrow become totally cross-referenced; each tends to activate the others. This is why it is vital to relax the body in general when learning skills and only allow the programme to high-light the relevant tensions (see article on instrumental technique). This means at the 'president' level (behind the screen) the formatting of the programme is one undivided whole---one wave carrying the sublevels within it---and the programme is, as far as possible, relevant to the desired activity.

Now imagine this distribution of bits on the screen switching on and off. It is thus replaced by other frames of dots which may or may not have the same distribution, depending on whether any change has been made in the movements. Thus we have different whole frames of these 'dot' patterns switching on and off. However, there would be no learning unless these frames were connected in time. These frames have information density in space (number of bits/dots per unit space) and information density in time (number of frames per unit time). But these information (space and time) densities are the same since the learning patterns act fourth dimensionally---in spacetime.

What we are leading up to is that the learning patterns act holographically in time, as well as space. We now have to imagine the dots of one frame interconnected to the dots of consecutive frames. The amount of time spanned---number of frames as it 'moves' through time---is governed by the degree of learning or the level of skill. This is called holographic amplification. The holographic 4D learning patterns span space and time and 'move' through time maintaining a holographic continuum, which means the interlinking of movements continues through time, much like we scroll information on a computer screen. The information in the holographic learning pattern is continually being reset (from circuits containing all the information for the whole sequence).

In Figure 2 we might for simplicity consider unit A, B, C, D as providing impulses for finger action, say, one after the other, that is, in time. One has to imagine the temporal triangle superimposed on the spatial triangle but at 90 degrees, now extending in time. We see the interconnection throughout the learning pattern structure ('managers', 'executives' 'president'). This means when, say, a finger action A is made, its accuracy and control is governed and aided by all the other units in the learning pattern. Similarly for B, C, D, etc. In effect, future positions of movements can consolidate the present ones. This is an extraordinary concept but merely the property of holistic systems (see article on holographic control for another angle on this). If the investigator can make the observations indicated here he or she will be convinced that the learning pattern is holographic---and that there is no other way skills could be executed so that there is control and automaticity.

There is much more detailed information on this approach, for example, in the author's book Superhuman of over 25 years ago the similarity to evolution of the human species of how the bits/units of the learning pattern expand---actually multiply (reproduce)---was recognised but it seemed so far-fetched for any reader to believe, it was omitted (it is now fairly common knowledge within the New-Age field). Nevertheless just as these units of information---say, one (group) for one finger motion---'evolve up' the learning pattern pyramid to operate more fingers, etc., like a ground-floor worker is promoted up the company ranking scale---manager, executive, etc.---so collective consciousness of a race operates in similar divided units and evolves/ascends this hierarchy from its own low individuated levels to high integrated levels.

What are the justifications for considering that this mere learning pattern indicates that the whole universe is holographic? When we look at the schematics of the learning patterns, see Figures 1 and 2, we see the hierarchical properties. The lower levels operate within the context of the higher levels. The ground-floor workers function in the context of the managers; the managers in the context of the executives, etc. These levels have the characteristics of fractals (see articles on fractals); groups within groups: repeated similar patterns but with change in dimension. For example, the tree has a fractal structure: trunk to branch, to smaller branches, etc. to twigs; or the human arm: shoulder joint, elbow joint, wrist, and fingers. Furthermore, on a larger scale we have planets, stars, galaxies, clusters of galaxies, superclusters of galaxies, universe, these are all self-similar patterns on different dimensional scales.

We must allow for the fact that science has only a 'surface' or 3D interpretation of entities of the universe. A planet's energy is in the form of a vortex and has an oscillation as large as the planet---it has wholeness in its own right, apart from the molecules that make up its physical structure. Similarly a star encompasses its whole solar system, as an undivided whole, a vortex; and so on. Even atomic systems will be found to be compatible with the macro-configurations described above. The atom functions on wave mechanics; similarly it will be discovered that the solar system likewise operates on the same wave principles. These are all correspondences on different dimensional levels.

We are familiar with the philosophical statement, 'As above, so below' which is based on the axiom of Hermeticism, 'What is here is everywhere; What is not here is nowhere'. This again is the holographic property. Let us quote some leading physicists, philosophers and science writers:

Ouspensky, in his book A New Model of the Universe, states that everything is everywhere and always. Physicist John Wheeler of Princeton states that the geometrodynamical quantum foam of superspace represents a superhologram of the universe, and physicist Jack Sarfatti's interpretation of this quantum superspace is that the wormholes connect all parts of the universe directly to every other part. Leading physicist David Bohm stresses quantum interconnectedness and unbroken wholeness. Charles Muses and Arthur Young refer to objects as superhologram images. Science writer Michael Talbot reiterates that thought processes are holographic in that all thoughts are infinitely cross-referenced with all other thoughts. Physicist Keith Floyd states that holographic models of consciousness make such brain processes as memory, perception, and imaging clearly explainable. Science writer Fritjof Capra speaks of the universe as a hologram, in which each part determines the whole.

We will now introduce a completely unfamiliar law of physics which is inherent in every energy process. This has been given in the author's other articles. It is the intrinsic relationship between integration and differentiation. Wholes inherently contain parts. When the relationship between parts and whole is noncoherent---such as a motor car---the whole is equal to the sum of the parts (3D logic). Clearly there is no holographic relationship in this case---it is a linear one-line relation. If, however, the parts are coherent (as in harmonic and benevolent technologies), the whole is greater than the sum of the parts---which is a property of life and all natural entities of the universe. The relationship now becomes nonlinear/hierarchical as demonstrated by the company organisation model given here. The special relation integration/differentiation now applies. The integration thus means the parts are coherent (common frequencies in phase).

With this relationship, the greater the integration, the greater the differentiation. For example, one strives to learn independence of finger action in skills, such as piano technique, but one does not realise that to achieve independence one must develop dependence, meaning integration of greater numbers of movements spanned by the learning patterns as one whole. This also contains the true definition of skill/technique---see other articles.

If a society was operating with a proper relationship of these variables, satisfying the integration/differentiation principle, because of the greater harmony of the whole there would be greater recognition of individual rights (differentiation). In general, our perceptions have greater sensitivity for the parts (any variation, irregularities, errors) when the whole is focussed upon. Psychologists have done experiments which indicate this but haven't known why or what they meant.

The apparent reason why focus on the whole gives more information about any part within the whole, than focus upon that part, is because the whole is a larger quantum state than a part and is an oscillation of higher frequency. The whole represents a higher-order configuration; information rate and information density automatically have to be greater---this is also higher intelligence. As an example, science will eventually establish that a solar system is a whole quantum state oscillation, and is of higher frequency than the quantum oscillations of the planets (the parts).

The fractal nature of the world is well established. We know that fractals are self-similar patterns on different dimensional scales. This is clearly a property of the holograph produced from the hologram photographic plate. The author, in the articleFree Will and Fractals, shows also that consciousness could be analysed in terms of fractals, tying in with our other approach of relating consciousness to the learning pattern and in turn with its holographic character. Thus consciousness and freewill are inherently holographic. But why? See article The Source of Fractals. To express in energy form, in the most efficient manner, the basic unmanifest of no space or time, those energies will distribute so that the infinite potential parts separate out, covering small to large to the whole (every state), forming a hierarchy with smallest parts (lowest frequencies) at the 'bottom', rising to the whole at the 'top', and all parts are interlinked and can thus access the others but through the rules/physics of the dimensional levels.

Thus the whole is reflected in its parts and we have a holographic property. The greater the strength of the whole (meaning unity) the greater the strength of the part or individual---more energy, frequency, understanding, is fed to that part. Each part is as strong as its whole is operating efficiently.

As a very brief piece of evidence for those readers who recognise valuable transmissions of information from extraterrestrials is that we are told Earth has a blueprint, that is, it has codes with correspondences to human DNA. These codes are stored in the planet's grid system. This is of course an area which our orthodox science knows nothing about. Thus if the grid codes are changed (or mutated), this informational change will transfer to all living DNA on the planet (similarly the reverse flow will also work).

The universe is holographic fractally (as opposed to infinitely holographic), for example, the levels, planet, solar system, galaxy, are fractal levels similar to the relationship of wrist, elbow, and shoulder. However, note that these levels are 'selected' discrete manifest structures, whereas in the background would be a virtual fine holographic gradient, as is demonstrated if we cut up a hologram photographic plate into increasing smaller parts---all parts manifest the whole image. What is this holographic background? It would be the true nature of unity. Unity, beyond spacetime, must be intrinsically holographic, covering the complete virtual state gradient (see article on unity in the new educational series).

THE WAVE FUNCTION IS REAL: THE HOLOGRAPHIC
QUANTUM MODEL

In quantum physics the wave function (denoted by the Greek psi symbol) is sometimes referred to as mathematical fiction. When Schrodinger developed his famous wave equation, it was a puzzle as to what psi really represented. It was concluded that the wave function depicted probabilities---and not energy.

Here we shall be using the wave function to mean a packet of vibrations as in current quantum mechanics but that in our case we envision everything imaginable in the universe as made up of waves. Any specific thing whatsoever is not just represented by, but is a group of oscillations given by sine waves. These groups of sine waves representing all phenomena, such as a particle, an atom, planet, galaxy, objects, a thought, word, concepts or ideas, mind, etc. may be immensely complex, comprising waves in fractal groups extending into higher dimensions, in which their phase relationship is of key importance. These wave functions are holographic and have a precise geometry. This geometry is information.

Every single wave function is a packet of information. The vibrations of the wave function are energy but also probabilities given by sub-sine wave groupings. The resonant linkages between them will vary in strength giving different probability weighting---no different from the principle of habit patterns. (Learning occurs by mode locking, that is, entraining separate oscillations---as in associating.)

Quantum energy is actually quantum action, that is, energy multiplied by time (as one whole). Thus it would be expected that the wave function was not the physicist's energy E, which is a 3D expression of work done. Quantum action has a thickness in time. It is 4D.

One of the main reasons why the wave function in current quantum physics has to be considered fictional is because it is expressed by the resultant of many sub-wave functions representing probabilities or attributes of entities of the natural world in the form of respective orthogonals. These orthogonals are dimensions and may be great in number. Let's simplify this and refer to the famous 'Schrodinger's cat'.

The cat is hidden in a box and is subject to the possibility of being poisoned; the probability of which is governed by a random generator. We don't know whether the cat is alive or dead until we open the box. The wave function will be the resultant of both probabilities; that for the cat to be dead and that for it to be alive. The Y-axis could represent 'death' and the X-axis 'alive'. The wave function in Schrodinger's equation gives the superposition of these two separate wave functions for being dead and alive. The graph or resultant wave function gives both probabilities simultaneously and holistically. But we know that when we look into the box that the cat will be either dead or alive, not both.

Now let us say the resultant graph (wave function) is, say, closer to the Y-axis. In this case this resultant (in the quantum reality) will 'collapse' onto the Y-axis, and a single probability is considered to have been selected by the observation (Copenhagen Interpretation). The cat is observed dead. The equation does not, however, give the 'collapse'. In real applications of the wave function the procedures can be very complex but always accurate. For example, several particles interacting would each have to be represented by three dimensions, that is, different ones for each particle; for example, nine dimensional axes or orthogonals for three electrons. Thus we see the unreality of the resultant wave function.

Our general holographic wave function should be pictured as made up of sine waves of different frequencies and, in particular, having phase relationships. The wave function is not linear or of a single level but multidimensional and can be envisaged as groups of sine waves within groups displaced along the gradient 3D to 4D, governed by frequency.

This packet of waves and its resultants at different fractal levels (the groups) follows the rules of Fourier analysis. Any resultants of subgroups or the whole resultant can be broken down by resonant waves giving the true nature of quantum reduction from one higher fractal level to a lower one. This process of quantum reduction---resultant waves reducing to lower-dimensional sine waves, a form of Fourier analysis---occurs continuously along with the reverse: quantum regeneration in which separate lower-dimensional sine waves, when correlated, form higher-dimensional resultants---a form of Fourier synthesis (this is how the laser really works). Figure 2, in the article on physical mobility, part II, showing vortices within vortices, is also a wave function, and these articles should preferably be studied before this one.

We know by now that the Newtonian view of the universe does not give an accurate picture. Quantum physics is much nearer the truth. The universe is not made of empty space with objects in it but is more akin to a complex webwork of interconnecting energies: everything conceivable is made up of vibrations, in other words, is a wave function.

When wave functions have 'entangled, there can be an immediate transmission of information from one resonant component to another---distance is no object. This is a feature of current quantum theory and one can see the applications of this principle to many everyday experiences, even to forming a basis for paranormal phenomena; also the ability of animals to read vibrations of energies and acquire information, an ability which escapes us.

Although everything might be considered as a basic energy of consciousness moulded by wave functions, not all objects are holistic or, in other words, are a single or whole wave function. Only natural entities in which the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, such as a planet or cell, are a single resultant sine wave pattern. A car, for example, is a composite of many wave functions (of molecules, etc.).

As a different kind of example, consider coordination of the human body, say, two arms at a keyboard. For a learned sequence, a wave function will be controlling the relationship between all movements, that is, a single wave function at every instant (this instant is smaller the higher the frequency). The sine wave groups within this wave function change their phase angle as motion of arms, etc., continues. This wave function gives the precise geometry of energy-formatting within which the limbs take position in space and time. Obviously this coordinates with the muscular tensions.

In skills we experience within the mind this wave function as the kinesthetic sense. Consciousness or the input senses the information of the wave function. This information is holographically spread in both space and time, holistically. Within the wave function the smaller waves deal with the 3D sharp focus of activity, such as part of one finger movement, but the larger waves span more time enabling one to feel, in the margin of consciousness, the immediate future movements. If this didn't occur one could not make any controlled movements! This means that at any instant one not only senses the present movement and position of a limb, but also the immediate future ones simultaneously in a multidimensional manner (through the regular fractal levels within the wave function).

Realise that every oscillation is a vortex, and two or more vortices in phase will attract to create motion. In skill behaviour the vortices are centred at the joints. One should imagine these vortices as enveloping the limbs---which are executing a skilled sequence---with infinite complexity of vortices within vortices, involving a shifting around as any smaller vortex is precipitated into 3D (quantum reduced) by a larger one---in continuous nonlinear activity.

The geometrical patterning within the wave function from large to small is precisely the same as that of the universe's fractal nature. It must also be the same principle occurring in the amazing genetic processes which we tend to take for granted. We might see from this that the large wave function for our universe would span all time for this universe (and all space) as a unity. But as we come down the levels within the wave function, increasing separation occurs and therefore the manifestation of time and the phenomena of objects and particles, individuals, etc. (as being separate from one another).

Within this wave function the sine waves, in general, vary in size and dimensions (e.g., 3.2D, 3.8D, 4.0D) and vary in phase relationship and frequency. The phase relationship and size/dimension determine the geometry. The frequencies determine the qualities and attributes, such as colour, emotions, and also the degree of integration or fractal level. Remember, anything we can imagine is not just represented by this wave function but is a wave function---a pattern or patterns of vibrations. These are all packets of information.

Note that the information is not associated (as though appended) in the geometrical oscillations in the manner that man's artificial coding systems associate meaning, letters, symbols with computer processes (using the binary system). The information is the geometric intelligence of the wave function's oscillations.

Now how does the mind's 'read' and 'write' processes work in nature? An oscillation or wave can be considered to be a read pulse if it impinges on a wave function and resonates with the wave function or certain components of waves within it. By resonance we mean it occurs as a result of similar frequencies---oscillations in phase. Such a signal resonating with, say, the internal structure of the wave function can act as a key (a principal feature in genetics processes?). Corresponding waves inherent within the resultant oscillation of the wave function are caused to be separated out as in a Fourier analysis. These waves now become active to do work or act as an instruction signal for some other entity. The separated waves may, however, still have complex modulations and they are still wave functions. Different whole wave functions could resonate, or merely their parts.

A 'write' pulse, such as anyone's thoughts, will radiate wave functions to be recorded in the countless vortices of spacetime. Some media store information easier than others. Stone, quartz, bone, and water are considered high in storage capabilities, that is, their own oscillations can easily be modulated by appropriately related signals.

Returning to the example of coordination in skills, a big problem is how a large amount of information can be stored nonlinearly. We might consider for instance the long sequence of complex movements which must be stored for a concert pianist to play a concerto. Scientists have already recognised that these sequences are clearly not stored linearly---this would be extremely inefficient and impractical.

Consider an analogy with computers. Let the harddrive storage have the full memory of the movements to play the concerto. It is all there, all at once. But now we wish to apply this memory, that is download to the temporary memory, RAM, where a portion of the data on the harddrive will now appear on the screen (imagine all of this portion can appear on the screen). We perceive this data, which is immediately available, all at once (on the screen). This corresponds to the learning pattern or wave function. Consciousness grasps within the conscious mind and the margin of consciousness a spread in time of information---the full learning pattern or wave function, all at once. In the computer analogy, as we look at the screen, we can see all the text at once and imagine reading text from the top to the bottom one word at a time. This is the conscious mind playing off one bit in time of the wave function. But as one gets to the end of the learning pattern (the end of the text) the wave function 'moves' along in time (the harddrive loads another page). But to be more accurate with the analogy the change is actually not discrete. The wave function steadily and continuously 'moves' forward (the harddrive is loading steadily all the time as the lines of text are read---the top line disappears and the new bottom line appears). Thus the wave function or learning pattern bridges the dimensional gap between the total memory (the harddrive) and the sharp focus of application, the single movement (or reading of the text). The wave function thus is a transducer of energies. Its holographic properties have enabled it to convert a portion of holistic energy (higher-dimensional) to one bit at a time in our 3D space and time. The higher the skill of the person the greater is this span in time (and space, which is the same as time within the learning pattern)---the computer monitor screen can hold more text. This is a proper definition of skill or instrumental technique---how many movements can be spanned simultaneously with the mind. Everything else falls into place---density of information is higher, coordination is better, speed of movement is easier and faster, etc. Imagine reading the text on the screen faster than the harddrive can load it---you can't of course, and the span of the learning pattern determines the ability.

Thus the wave function as a learning pattern is a mechanism that enables one to translate holistic programs into linear ones within 3D space and time. In a nutshell, the learning pattern is a 4D holographic template that houses programmes and converts nonlinear information into linear information.

Now how is the information for the concerto stored in the 'harddrive'? It is clearly all there, all at once. We say it must be stored cyclically in the periphery of the vortices as alluded to previously. One can picture the information going round in circles indefinitely, the simultaneity of which can be handled with higher dimensions, but to tap it off or access it the learning pattern or wave function must link this level to enable it to be expressed in material reality---actually playing the concerto.

This is a very difficult subject and these articles are very brief. As a final note we might add that an important field of research would be to connect the wave function---the quantum computer---as described here, with the central nervous system, in particular, with muscular activity. We don't exactly know how the field system (of wave functions) links with the muscular actions.

SELF-REFERENCING SYSTEMS AND THE RELATIVE ZERO, Noel Huntley, Ph.D.

Consciousness can be observed to operate in quantum states, meaning it manifests whole, holistic, gestalt perceptive frames, whether there is a sharp point-like focus or there is a uniform spread. Moreover, these states of consciousness rapidly switch from one focus to another, giving the impression of continuity, time and the presence of gradients. Nevertheless, consciousness can become fixated, or be specifically hypnotised. It then forms a closed, self-referencing system. This is what we are interested in: self-referencing systems. The parallel concept for this in technology, that is, machines, is 'closed systems'. We shall come back to this.

Where does the idea of zero come into all this? In effect, a self-referencing system has given itself a zero context at its boundaries---at its interface with any greater system within which it resides. In fact as far as the self-referencing system is concerned there is nothing outside itself---hence the use of the term zero.

When we design a meter to take measurements we put a zero on the scale which acts as the reference for the quantitative evaluation by means of numbers on the scale or dial---say, for example, 4 or 5 units of measurement. We always set the pointer to zero before measuring and we then assume this is an absolute zero. Clearly it is zero for our immediate reality but it will only be relative to the environmental set-up. How do we know it isn't a zero reference with respect to some greater context? For example, are the physical constants of science really constant? What about Einstein's General Relativity---doesn't this resolve any doubt here? Scientists will find that the existing Relativity is part of a larger one, but it is set up as is all physics and mathematics so that the self-referencing system appears to be the only one.

Let us give an analogy which just happens to be similar to ones that are given in describing Relativity but here we are revealing the larger relativity (one fractal level higher). Consider a train compartment. In this case we have a smooth running coach and the blinds are down. There is no evidence of not only motion of the carriage but no evidence that there is any existence beyond the interior of the compartment.

If we measure velocities of, say, simple hand motions from side to side we will think these results are absolute (remember, this is only an analogy and 'velocity' is a suitable metaphor). If we wish to take the velocity measurement a little more literally, it means we have measured the velocity relative to the boundaries of our system---the compartment---which we take as zero. (Note that in our real universe we normally measure velocities relative to our planet, which is taken as stationary, or measure our planet's motion relative to 'fixed' stars.)

In the train compartment we do not realise that the boundary of our system---the walls, floor, roof---are an interface to a larger system which we may peek at for a moment through a crack in the blinds. Clearly if we measure the velocity of the same hand motion from the larger perspective---outside the train---the result will be different. Thus the first result was relative and not absolute. Similarly, physical constants of science will be found to be relative values.

The reality within the train compartment is a lower fractal dimension and the greater 'outside' reality is a higher fractal. Are there more? Yes, it would not be logical to consider only two, but we are getting ahead. More examples must be given to enable the reader to grasp this subject. As a contrast so that the reader develops a broad view of this concept and assimilates the extensive, in fact, all pervasive scope of this concept, let us give a qualitative example.

We can all perceive when another person is prejudiced or biassed, since we are outside the 'system'. But the prejudiced person dramatising a self-referencing system can't see this. They generally can't step outside of themselves to reset the programme; that means, connect the data up to a new context---the greater perspective in which the irrational relationships become obvious. They are in a kind of hypnotic trance.

Consciousness, however, always has the potential to step outside itself (the lower level), since it is fractalised, as is everything natural---see articles on fractals. The self-referencing system in the above example of the prejudiced person will zero out the bias, meaning the person will be unconscious that their evaluation (behaviour) is based on unconscious irrational data. In the case of the train compartment example, the contribution in the measurement made by, or provided by, the larger context or outside (the train) view, will be zeroed out if the occupants of the compartment are only aware of the interior. The self-referencing system will judge all unknown contexts as zero. Let us give more analogies. The see-saw example is a good one.

Imagine a plank balanced on a fulcrum with a person seated on either end. The characteristic motions of the plank are governed by the fulcrum---this is the zero point. If we consider measuring the amount of rocking of the plank, that is, the amplitude, this measurement references the context of the still point of the fulcrum. We can imagine this is a complete and closed system: such as this third dimension or even an environmental set-up in which rigorous scientific methodology is being applied. The results will appear absolute. But if we now realise that this first fractal system, the plank, fulcrum and persons, is on the end of a larger plank and fulcrum, with persons on the other end, then our new zero reference is the second fulcrum. The first fulcrum is now moving up and down. We see that the result of the measurement made in the first system will now be different when we reference the context of the second system and the new zero (fulcrum). Thus the first zero was only relative. Similarly for the second fulcrum and so on to a complete system. The fractals do not continue indefinitely just as a twig on a tree is connected to a larger branch, which in turn is connected to a still larger branch and so on, but completes in the full integration at the tree trunk.

On the subject of trees, a further example could be a bough of a tree moving in the wind. The twig on the end traverses the longest arc. Let's call the twig the first fractal. Then the twig is connected to a branch---the second fractal---which in turn is connected to a larger branch---the third fractal. Each incrementing fractal moves less than the previous one. Thus we could say that the twig is not 'aware' beyond itself, that is, of the second fractal and higher, and it will regard its own motion relative to its connection to the second fractal, which it takes as zero (motion). Thus the twig in this analogy only experiences its own minimal movement but which in fact is being carried by the accumulation of the other motions of the branches.

The human arm is a similar system. The joints give us the fractal levels. If we imagine arm motions where all joints---shoulder, elbow, wrist and fingers---are active, we know from results achieved in experimental psychology that the fingers have their own learning patterns; the wrist has its own learning pattern, plus the fingers; the elbow has elbow, wrist and finger learning patterns, and the shoulder joint has them all. Thus the fingers, say, moving on a keyboard, have their own closed self-referencing fractal level. They can only move up and down and are not 'aware' of being dragged to one side by, say, the shoulder action. Learning can't pass up the hierarchy from fingers to shoulder; only down. The twig is also a good analogy for human consciousness, which is connected to the second fractal level, the 'soul', and so on. The human consciousness is only aware of its third dimensional activities, and not its greater fractal selves. Owing to excessive negativity on this planet the connection between human fractal and soul fractal is weak and thus the human consciousness is extremely vulnerable to the creation of a closed, self-referencing system.

We may now see how our meter may only be referencing a relative zero. Our objective scientific methodology creates a closed, self-referencing system. The observer/observed relationship is an interdependent one---it is context dependent. Only relative results can be achieved. Our so-called constants are merely values which reference the interface (boundary) between one system and the next, which because there is no awareness of the larger (next) system or dimensions, the reference is automatically zeroed out.

The formulation of scientific data reaches its limit in the very objective set-up it creates. The conditions of objectivity set up an experimental reality involving devices and experimental arrangement, designed on the basis of objective knowledge---all with emphasis on 'seeing is believing'. Such a set-up predetermines what nature will reveal to us. This system will self-reference, forming a closed environment. Compare the first see-saw, referencing the fulcrum as a zero or the twig only 'aware' of its own movement. The more objective we make the elements of the experimental environment the more consciousness denies its participation, but, nevertheless, it is connected like the dog chasing its own tail. It creates a closed system. To reveal perpetual motion one must create knowingly, or accidentally, a 'leak' out of the system. The first see-saw and its relative data is violated by finding a link out of the first system to the next (fulcrum).

This level of scientific methodology will give us the constant of the velocity of light, Planck's constant, the conservation of energy, etc. but will automatically fail to incorporate features outside the first system. The more positive and thorough the experimental set-up, the more it will be limited to its own context and not even a glimmer of the next fractal level will be present. However, in using the train analogy, if we get a glimpse of the passing environment through the gap in the blinds, our internal observations are changed since one has in effect stepped outside the system. Intuition and imaginative states of mind interacting with the first objective environment may cause a different selection of data to occur (a change in selection of probabilities), and the experimentalist may find he or she obtains a different result, which note, may to their great frustration not be reproducible. The 3D objective environment was, unknowingly, modified and the 'desirable' hidden influence (on the first fractal from the greater system) removed; that which is not part of the established formalism.

For example, the non-graduate scientific pioneer is more likely to design a set-up in which a normally closed Newtonian, non-perpetual motion device has a flaw in it in which certain unknown elements of the design are manifesting an open-system characteristic, with the subsequent anomaly of, say, the production of extra energy---and the potential for perpetual motion.

The basis of this is that the environment changes according to the spectrum of consciousness. The subjects of psychotronics and radionics are examples in which because of the above reasons, results may not be reproducible by all investigators---often the same person. In some circumstances, the conscious observation itself may cause the system not to work in that way. It is easy to see why strict objective conditions stifle ESP and paranormal energies. If the activity is allowed to operate without analysis it may work. Paranormal energies are outside the first (3D) system and our stringent, scientific, objective conditions determine the frequency range---the lower one. Similarly, understanding of art (and music) can only occur when analysis is not taking place---and in fact when the attention is out of focus. Such conscious and intellectual analysis will quantum reduce the holistic (unified) aesthetics of the art to the particle level---phase correlation to phase randomisation, to use a quantum physics expression.

When we set objective standards we create a 'zero' from which to judge anything or measure anything. Collective agreement and programming sets the 'zero' and we don't know there is already a bias in our judgement. We could take a negative situation---the state of the society, or supposing everyone was a thief---and use this as an objective standard to evaluate behaviour. This becomes programmed and embedded. As stated previously, when programmed there is a self-referenced system which zeros out the bias or prejudice, and everything seems normal.

Whenever we judge a standard we put a 'mark' on an imaginary gradient scale ranging from 'good' to 'bad', and use this as the context---the zero---by which to make the judgement. The point chosen (usually subconsciously) is a relative interface between 'good' and 'bad' and is a zero mark for judgement of how many degrees of 'bad' if it is on the 'bad' side of the mark, or how many degrees of 'good' if it is on the 'good' side of the mark.

Returning to the problem of the closed systems of scientific methodology, are we therefore saying that experimental conditions shouldn't be rigorous---that one should be sloppy with the design, etc? In our present condition, there is no satisfactory answer. We have strayed so far from a correct balance between subjectivity and objectivity, or the symbiosis between knowledge and consciousness. As knowledge expands, it should not have veered unduly towards the objective but retained an ideal ratio with subjectivity. By this, we mean there should have been an increasing recognition (in evolution) of the role of the mind, and its power and participation in the environment. Now we have the unsatisfactory situation in which a pioneer with lack of strict adherence to scientific and experimental protocol is more likely to make the really valuable discoveries. Note that when they are made they are suppressed.

Science hasn't established that there are (macro) dimensions within dimensions forming a hierarchy of frequency spectrums (scalar wave). It is a little like living in a box, the first fractal, which is within the next fractal, a larger box and so on. There must always be correct alignment between adjacent fractal levels, between contextual strata, otherwise chaos will result. Our sector of the universe appears to be designed on the basis of twelve main divisions or dimensions. The DNA is said to have the potential for 12 strands, and we have many existing 'twelves', such as the notes on the musical scale. However, note that we should have been using base-12 for mathematics, and not decimal, that is, base-10. This itself will cause results, significant numbers, physical 'constants', of science and mathematics to be out of alignment with our environmental dimensional structures. The '10' configuration will not fit into the '12' of nature for a natural resonance and synchronicity, and for a proper progression of discoveries towards a harmonic science. Similarly, distortions in the mind will cause chaos and insanity.

Let us finalise with another analogy, in particular, to show us a mechanistic interpretation of synchronous activities and which also shows how the interface between different levels or loops should zero out for correct alignment. We have the example of the production of the television image. The electron beam of the cathode ray tube is focussed into a sharp point. It strikes the screen at the top left corner, creating a fluorescing spot of coloured light, then moves across, horizontally. When it reaches the right side it jumps to the left just below the previous line and continues to do this 615 times until the whole screen has been traversed. Then at the bottom right corner it returns to the top left corner and begins again. One may notice that we have 615 smaller loops---the horizontal lines---inside a larger loop, which brings the spot back to the beginning. It may be seen that the points of return must be precise. At the end of the lines there is a synchronous pulse applied which returns the spot for each line, and then there is a second synchronous pulse which returns it for the whole picture. If these pulses were out of phase the picture would go into chaos. The loops must be zeroed, that is, aligned at the precise time.

Since everything is made up of flowing energy and under continuous creation, it must be precisely structured in the above manner, whether it is coordination of the fractal joints of the human arms, or the dimensional organisation of the universe, following a base-12 code.

SUPPRESSION OF INNER SPACE, Noel Huntley, Ph.D.

We are referring to the denial of the presence of an 'inner' space underlying our materialistic external 3D world and the suppression of all significant knowledge relating to it.

To give the reader a simple picture or analogy, imagine looking down on the ocean, of which the water is not clear, and only the surface can be seen. Realise a considerable depth below this surface, noting the potential presence of multifarious activities or events in the ocean depths.

Science and educational knowledge generally, is similarly only observing the 'surface' (3D) of the universe and environment. That is, we look at the ocean (universe, etc.) and believe it is just the surface—which manifests effects only from the depths (inner space). This should be sufficient to condition the reader, where needed, to realise how elementary human knowledge is and how vast inner (higher) space is.

The reader unfamiliar with dimensions will note that the hidden 'inner space' under the ocean's surface is easy to visualise, but will ask where the real inner space is. Unfortunately our 3D perception and linear consciousness does not allow us to detect directly this inner space, which goes inwards at every point in space and would require at least an additional dimension of perception.

Are there any well-established examples of inner space? The blackhole phenomenon is well accepted in modern science and considerable research has been conducted into the nature of blackholes. Thus the reader can try to picture a hole in space which goes inwards, not along any of our three dimensions. This also applies to wormholes, and scientists speculate that these holes may link directly with other universe planes or curve back into our universe at some great linear 3D distance, but giving an almost instant connection through the inner-space pathways (wormholes).

Some physicists have speculated that our space is riddled with mini-blackholes (energy going inwards) and mini-whiteholes (energy coming out—such as the energy of a star but also the nucleus of an atom giving the positive charge). Thus we need at least an extra dimension of space to explain such phenomena.

We are showing that there is space which we can't perceive (with our limited frequency spectrum of consciousness). Also that there has been an inevitable degree of recognition of an inner space (blackholes) but where these ideas are seen as forming an underlying structure to external 3D space the acceptance ceases; closing the lid on 3D effects only, as being complete, even absolute rather than relative to its context (of 3D). Even the quantum reality of quantum physics is relegated to a fictional product of mathematics.

Let us take as an example of the type of subtle control that is occurring over knowledge. Maxwell's electromagnetic equations, the rockbed of electromagnetics, are taught in university physics and mathematics; one may wonder how many professors realise that these equations being taught are not the original ones of Maxwell. It is fairly well known, essentially outside academic circles, that physicists Gibbs and Heaviside removed from these equations the quaternions or scalar-wave terms—very much with the approval of Hertz.

The scalar terms have been refered to as expressing 5D etheric waves that are non-vector, and are oscillating electrostatic potential energy waves, which are longitudinal. The terms left untouched in the equations being taught today are the transverse Hertzian electromagnetic vector terms, very much detectable in our 3D space. Gibbs and Heaviside simply couldn't see the point of the additional scalar terms underlying the vector EM terms, since current physics formulations were supporting a 3D closed system and seemingly successsfully, and already precluded the possible role of these original terms since the existing premises of physics had no part for them; not recognising that they were supposed to elevate established scientific models to a higher order. At a deeper level, however, this does not imply it was entirely a mistake to remove the terms—meaning it is part of the ongoing suppression of inner-space reality.

Let us briefly digress to a contrasting example within religion, in particular, Christianity. The Bible reveals that Jesus used the word 'within' frequently, of which the proper meaning is not being taught to day; for example 'The Father within'. This concept of 'within' does not mean something intangible or lacking in existence, substance or dimension, or even a science. Ironically, however, it does mean atheists are correct; there is no (external) God. Thus again the role of inner space, which relates to inner consciousness, remains hidden.

Now going back to the scalar wave. It extends dimensionally beyond 3D, for example, it can wave in time, and affect 3D time. The frame of mind giving rise to the removal of the scalar terms from Maxwell's equations is of the same negative motivation which the great Nicola Tesla encountered early last century. Tesla, undoubtedly the father of electricity, whose name was removed from anything academically educational, discovered the real nature of radio transmission—not even taught today. At that time the German scientist Hertz was gaining recognition after his success in transmitting radio signals from one room to another. Tesla had realised that electromagnetic waves, which are transverse (sometimes referred to as Hertz waves today), attenuated too rapidly to transmit information over great distances. Tesla discovered that the longitudinal scalar wave was the underlying carrier wave for significant distances. Even though Hertz waves are detected around transmitters and receivers it was the scalar wave, propagating mainly through the ground and on the surface, and capable of pair coupling into EM Hertz waves, that was the dominant cause of radio transmission.

In fact in the early days of this research, Tesla in his enthusiasm for scientific truths took the long trip from the U.S. to Germany to meet Hertz. When returning, Tesla recounted on the train his immense regret of the visit. His enthusiasm had blinded him to the deflating effect his knowledge and convictions, regarding the role of scalar waves, would have on Hertz.

Nevertheless, as we know today, Tesla's theory was rejected by the obstinate and controlled academic community and Hertz received full accolade for his work to the degree that his name became the unit of cycles per second.

Science is cleverly rigged to ridicule any phenomena beyond the external-world or 3D spectrum. If we use the analogy given in previous articles of the dog chasing its own tail, the observer being the dog's head, observing its tail as apparently objective and separate from its head, in fact, part of the environment or universe, we can see that greater truth about the tail can be obtained via the 'subjective' inner-space connection of the dog's head, linked (physically) through the body to the tail. Similarly we observe the environment as objective and external to us, but in fact our consciousness is linked to the environment through inner space which is basically all mind anyway.

Science struggles to continue its denial of all such phenomena: ETs who exist and operate in these other spectrums of inner space; all spiritual phenomena; religion's evil spirits; the energies of the paranormal; ESP, etc. The human consciousness is a spectrum of frequencies, like a wave band, and functions in a similar manner to the antenna on the roof. When selecting a channel for the television, an adjustment is made to the tuning circuit and the antenna resonates with a particular wave band or spectrum of frequencies which now creates the television picture. Change the channel and the wave band selected by the antenna changes and we have a different picture. Similarly if we changed our consciousness frequencies we could tune into a different spectrum of inner space and perceive a different reality there.

This should be elementary physics or at least serious speculation based on existing verifiable knowledge. Why do we call it 'inner space' if it has its own objectivity? Our 3D as it exists today would be manifesting about the maximum objectivity if we were to measure the coefficient of objectivity (objectivity + subjectivity = 1; as objectivity decreases, subjectivity increases). The average person has no awareness of their inner roll in participating in their environmental existence.

Let us attempt to convey an understanding of this by using a simple analogy. Figure 1, in going from (a) to (d), shows increasing amounts of inner space, that is, increasing subjectivity and therefore decreasing objectivity. The figures are intended to follow up on the dog/tail analogy but with a little more clarity. Figure 1(a) depicts the 3D external-world observed phenomena, showing the simple surface, or linear connection between observer and object. Mainstream physics operates at this level. The observer can only know about the object by transfer of information across 3D space (the arrow between them).



Now Figure 1(b) includes a structural feature of consciousness, showing the inner-space condition. Figure 1(b) illustrates that a second order of information about the object, superimposed on the normal and aware linear transmission, is being expressed by the observer (the direction of the arrows might be considered both ways). This may occur via intuition.

Similarly Figure 1(c) and (d) show further higher orders of information representing greater development, awareness, or evolution of the observer. The increasing orders are increasing degrees of 'subjectivity' or mind linkage. This 'pyramid' of dots in Figure 1 should be imagined as infinitely dense and extended. The actual inner consciousness will extend through these fractal and collective levels, ultimately to their source.

It is interesting to note the way the macro-level of existence reflects the same physics principles as the micro-level and vice versa. The above configuration in Figure 1 is also the essence of how the learning pattern functions in skills (see articles on skills/physical mobility), in particular, in transducing 4D nonlinearity into linear 3D sequences.

If point A wasn't unconscious to the observer it would enable the observer to know completely the object below by means of A and lower orders of connecting information. We are not saying that humans could perceive these higher orders while in our 3D frequency spectrum (our world), though if they could they would already have left this quantitative dimension and 'ascended' to a higher realm—higher degree of the fractal matrix.

Figure 1(a) would give maximum objectivity (which in the limit is linearity) but (d) would give maximum subjectivity (nonlinearity in the limit). Between these two extremes is the gradient. But as the reader can see, the linearity is an illusion since the hierarchy behind it—Figures (b) to (d)—exists always but is unconscious, manifesting apparent objectivity. 'Objectivity' is synonymous here with 'unconscious' (the unconscious connection to the object). As one shifts from Figure 1(a) to (d), comprehension goes from external to within (inner space).

The introduction of inner space would of course require new physics premises. The basis of linear fractals would be recognised to be due to the nonlinear, internal, inner-space, fractal relationships, and would be understood much better. Furthermore, zero-point energy, the turbulent energetic state of vacuum, could be considered as beyond our immediate 3D, that is, its source would be. Thus again the acknowledgement of strata beyond our 3D 'surface', giving rise to so much energy, previously considered as zero, has been delayed, or more correctly belayed.

Another excellent scientific example of a source of energy not being identified is the laser. For simplicity consider ten rays of white light. They are not in coherence (in-phase frequencies). The total power or intensity is equal to about three rays added together. However, if we make the ten rays coherent—crescents and troughs of waves in step—the power increases. But it is much greater than the sum of each ray (10)—the current scientific explanation. It is apparently at least the square of ten, that is, a hundred times. The ten rays, now in resonance, quantum regenerate a higher fractal, that is, rekindle from the virtual state Fractal Matrix gradient a more powerful vortex, which is of higher frequency and not in the visible spectrum. The ten rays of light are now sub-harmonics of this higher-dimensional vortex, of which the latter manifests in the inner space.

Further examples range into 'genuine' errors in physics but again concealing the scalar wave. Let's charge a small sphere, say, positive (electrostatic charge) and bring up a point test charge, say, negative, to measure the field charge around the sphere. The point charge reacts with a vector force towards the sphere and we say there is an electric force there. Move the test charge around the space and we identify a complete electric field E around the sphere. But do we? This is current physics. Can we assume the electric field was there before we put in the test charge. No. Science will find that the prior field is an electrostatic scalar-wave potential. Similarly for the gravitational field. Place an object in the gravitational field, but hold it there, or let it rest on the surface of the Earth, and we measure a gravitational force. But gravity is not a gravitational force unless it is acting on an object. It is a scalar field—a property of 4D and inner space.

We might add to the list that animal abilities are not placed in the category of the paranormal. (Note that appropriately mind energies are scalar.) Only methods are researched and explanations given which incorporate existing, extremely limiting materialistic 3D linear physics principles: simple magnetic-field systems around pigeons to explain their homing abilities, chemical senses to explain olfactory detection by insects over relatively considerable distances, etc.

Let us not forget the experience of improbable 'meaningful coincidences', which are relegated to random coincidences, rather than investigating theories of synchronicity (meaning something has synchronised them). There is also the discrediting scientific views on life after death, and as we have indicated, the nature of God. These are all desperate attempts to avoid inner space, extended dimensions and frequencies outside our immediately detectable spectrum.

Is there any concrete data from empirical observations that justifies the materialistic viewpoint of the academic scientist? Why is there so much emphasis on the matter or particle aspect of nature? Quite apart from the control over knowledge which is blatant on this planet, there is the genuine observation and conclusion that when the specific scientific observation is made, the particle level is revealed.

It is well known in quantum physics that the process of detection results in the particle observation, even if waves are being viewed. This comes under the wave/particle duality. Our detection of the so-called quantum reality, of phase-correlation (holistic) causes a quantum reduction from this phase-correlation to our material reality of phase-randomisation. The unity aspects are converted to the quantitative particle view, and thus science erroneously establishes that the universe is comprised of particles stuck together by forces.

There is a genuine tendency therefore to believe there is only the material particle world—even the quantum reality is considered as a product of mathematical fiction by the scientists. The structure of our immediate perception and scientific instruments are such that the world of materiality appears to be the only one. It might be realised now why scientific methodology is not compatible with the nature of paranormal, phenomena, ESP, etc. It is self-defeating. The mental and physical framework of the established experimental method will 'quantum reduce' the paranormal energies to the world of particles apparently stuck together by forces, that is, with subsequent failure of the necessary integrations and resonance for the subtle energies (of inner space) to function. This is a great irony; stupidity and the cunning deception of science's role in evaluating the paranormal.

To eliminate the infinite potential of inner space from the existence of a civilisation is like severing a twig from its higher fractals of incrementing branches going back (analogy: inner space) to their source, the tree trunk.
